Exploring Islamic Discourse Exposure In Tertiary Level Malaysian Esl Learners

Muslims around the globe are multicultural, from different age range, and multi socioeconomic backgrounds. This highlights importance of exploring lingua franca multilingual in communicating Islamic related genres multiple forms discourses. Currently, studies how Malaysian tertiary level students approach spoken written discourses, have been insufficiently limited. In relation to this, appropriateness, aptness, unambiguousness interpretation, clarity comprehensibility English as a second language pragmatic aspects be scrutinised examining ESL users. study aims analyse learners’ linguistics semiotics interpretations lectures medium. A total 30 infographic materials developed by learners were analysed terms their graphic representations what they aurally perceived. These correspond understanding discussing on supplication, repentance, End Time, matters heart. The findings show that tassawuf (process realizing ethical spiritual ideals) matters, tend represent more linguistically rather than visually. is intangible elements this subject matter, which limit signifying depictions comprehended interpreted.
